"Words To Live By" Book Launch Event - Oct 23

The Miller Center for Interreligious Learning & Leadership is pleased to announce the publication of Words to Live By: Sacred Sources for Interreigious Engagement, edited by Rabbi Or N. Rose, Director of the Miller Center; Dr. Homayra Ziad, Scholar of Islam at the Institute or Islamic, Christian, Jewish Studies in Baltimore; and Rev. Soren M. Hessler, Associate Director of the Miller Center.

In Words to Live By religious scholars representing many faith traditions present a sacred text they have found transformative in their work as interreligious bridge-builders. Accompanying each text are reflections about its context, its message, and how it inspires or informs their own work in the field. Despite their diverse perspectives, the contributors all believe that such textual study plays an essential part in constructing a “new interreligious ethos.”

On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, the Miller Center will host a panel discussion in the Hebrew College Alumni Dining Hall (160 Herrick Road, Newton Centre, MA 02459) with several of the Boston-area contributors to the volume.

The panel discussion is free and open to the public, though advance registration is requested.
